Hannah and Dom's Wedding at The Venue at Southern Oaks Farm, Gulfport, MS

Updated: May 24, 2023

When I first met with Hannah and Dom we hit it off right off the bat! I later found out that Hannah was from Denham Springs, Louisiana... my hometown, Geau Yellow Jackets! What are the odds?!! We had a great phone chat to start planning their big day and the three of us met at my favorite coffee shop in Ocean Springs, Coffee Fusion.

Hannah and Dom's wedding Ceremony and Reception were both at The Venue at Southern Oaks in Gulfport, MS. It was a beautiful day on Saturday, March 11, 2023 and when I arrived at the venue to start setting up I could tell everyone was very excited...especially the very cool Wedding Party!!

The Ceremony started at 4:00pm but I began playing prelude music as guests started arriving since their Ceremony was outdoors near the barn. Hannah and Dom both picked out some great string music that really set the tone for the romantic setting at The Venue at Southern Oaks, don't you think?!

The Wedding Party looked fantastic and the Bride and Groom looked incredible as they made their entrance.

Everyone was smiles with Misty Hopkins on hand to officiate the Ceremony. As always Misty really personalizes each and every wedding we work on together. As you can see she had both the Bride, Groom, and all the guests laughing at certain parts...it really broke the ice too.

The Ceremony concluded with a fun song from Dirty Dancing...you guessed it, "I've had the time of my life". The guests instantly cheered the newlyweds as the start of the reception was coming up inside the Barn.

The guests were ready to celebrate with Hannah and Dom and it wasn't long afterwards that Savannah (our wonderful Photographer) and the crew with Honey Films were complete with the family/Wedding Party photos.

I introduced the Wedding Party into the room the hot new dance song, "I'm good" by BeBe Rexha for the flower girls and when the Groomsmen and Maids walked in for their introduction they held nothing back for their photo ops:

After the Wedding Party introduction the crowd went wild for Hannah and Dom's Grand Entrance. I fell in love so much with this photo I decided to add it to my website home page. What do you think?

Hannah and Dom then shared their First Dance as husband and wife and held each other in arms and danced to "That's what love is" by Alexandra Kay. They followed up with special dances with their parents and children as well.

After the parent's dances I invited the guests to the buffet. We wanted to keep things flowing smoothly so I invited a spokesperson from each table to come up and answer a few fun trivia questions about our newlyweds. This kept things moving along. Later a few toasts were presented to the Bride and Groom along with the cake cutting ceremony.

Side Note: Hannah and Dom met and worked at Chick-fil-A and had a few personal touches to reflect that at their wedding...I love these:

Guests were ready to party and dance and it wasn't long that their family and friends were jamming to all genres of music from country, to disco, to hip/hop and club throw-backs:

Guests also loved the Photobooth from Snaparazzi that added the extra fun to the night:

We all had a great time celebrating with Hannah and Dom and I absolutely loved working with their vendors...we always have fun...this is work????

The night ended on a 'high energy' note with lots of wonderful memories shared. You know, weddings are alot like family reunions when you think about it!!

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Dominic DeNicola!!
